Wednesday’s Through the Bible Study is now live and streaming. The passage we are studying includes my favorite verse in Scripture: “And all of us, with unveiled faces, seeing the glory of the Lord as though reflected in a mirror, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another; for this comes from the Lord, the Spirit” (2 Corinthians 3:18).
To give it a context: Some Corinthians desire “a letter of commendation” from Paul in order to “prove” his qualifications for ministry. Paul responds by saying the “proof” of his legitimacy is found in the Spirit’s work in his life and the life of the Corinthians as a result of God’s New Covenant work through Christ. He compares his ministry under the New Covenant to Moses’ ministry under the Old Covenant in order to highlight the differences between “the letter” and “the Spirit”.
